FFI #106

1. It's January; time to get cracking on this year's Christmas gifts!.

2. Udon is what I crave most right now. (There's something comforting about a hot bowl of noodle soup on a cold day)

3. Cork and wine go together like cheese and wine; tea leaves and water; me and sashimi; knitting needles and yarn.

4. Noodle soup is so nourishing on a cold day like today.

5. Let us dare to try something new in 2009 (that'd be knitting socks for me).

6. The SF Bay Area will always be my home.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to finishing Angelina's mitts (which I did!), tomorrow my plans include chipping away at Leslie's scarf and Sunday, I want to have dim sum and make lasagna!

I don't read French (darn)... but, you read English (good). I'm a knitter and grabbed a pattern to try. Nice to meet you!

Wow, your blog is making me hungry. I'm not sure I could ever knit socks but I know the hubby would love it if I at least learned how to darn them.

I'm puzzled a bit: cork and wine?

I've been knitting socks since last year---they are so much FUN to do!!! Good luck! :-D (I even recently made money from knitting a pair :-D)

Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting on my Fill Ins too!

And since I love to knit (OMG, you would not have heard that from me 3 or 4 years ago!), I'll definitely be back :-D For that, and French. I need to bone up, in part because my daughter's taking it at school now. 4 1/2 years of it in high school, and I pretty much forgot how to speak it :-( It's been nearly 15 years since I graduated, but it only took 5 for me to forget! :-S

Haha you sure love noodles, don't you? =D

Have a great weekend too!

Socks are addictive. Next thing you know, you have buckets of sock yarn in your stash.

Oh, my French is terrible. Glad you know English too!

Glad I found your blog :-) I love your answers!

Do you sell any of the stuff you make? I love your hats.
If you do, pls. e-mail me at stanle17y{at}gmail{dwot}com.

Thanks and good luck with those socks. I only crochet and just barely at that.

Smariek,
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. Garbage can style pizza is everything but anchovies!!

I've tried knitting and it's something that I truly found relaxing. I think I may have to finish a blanket I started 2 years ago!!

Your Sunday sounds peaceful. Enjoy the food!! :)

I love your FFI answers! I forgot how much I love to knit too!

Have a great week xxx

I shall be back to knitting socks shortly myself, I ordered the Eclect socks, Gilrain has featured so many of them on her blog, that I just had to have it. I look forward to seeing your socks, so please be so kind as to post them. Udon is such a comforting thing when the weather is cold and you can change it around so much that it would be hard to get tired of it.

Hi, just popped in to thank you for the visit over at my spot.

I would love to learn to knit ... mittens and slippers, like my grandma use to make me. I'll be back to look through your patters (maybe you have some for slippers?)

Hope you had a wonderful weekend and have a great Monday!

Hi Thanks for stopping by my blog. I don't know how to knit, but wow this makes me want to learn. The items in your sidebar are beautiful and fun.

I'm a native SFBA too. Grew up on the Peninsula, and now live in the South Bay.

Nice to meet you. Will be stopping by again.
