Sonata purple yarn

This is Elann's Sonata Print yarn in Lilac Medley, a DK weight mercerized cotton. It's lighter than the usual P&C or S&C kitchen cotton yarn used for wash cloths. I love the purples in Lilac Medley, I'm a sucker for the purples. A lot of the other Sonata Solid & Sonata Print colors cry, "Buy me! Buy me!" I only bought a couple of balls to try out, before I decide whether I like it. Although I have to admit that I have yet to run into an Elann house yarn I don't like.

So... my brain is working overtime trying to come up with something to knit with this yarn. I have to keep in mind that this is lighter/thinner yarn and must make adjustments for final cloth size. And I think I have just the pattern for it. Stay tuned for more... :-)

Yes, yes yes ... I know I should be concentrating on the baby blanket I must finish by July 22nd. Unfortunately, I'm having a hard time focusing on it, partly because it can take up to 20 minutes to finish one row...

Oh, and that green cloth in the background is something I just finished, it's my own design...

I feel for ya on the length it takes to knit each row. I'm in a KAL for a shawl and the whole pattern is out now. I've still got at least 3 more clues to go before I'm done. But each row takes me at least a half hour to knit. It's making me nuts. lol
